Covid 19 information

To make you feel safe to booking with us, we have the overview of our Covid 19 terms & conditions and infection control plans here. We want to make your stay with us as safe as possible and we have implemented all measures required by the Norwegian Health Authorities FHI and adapted our operation so that we can operate Ski Lodge this winter with the offers we have.

Read through and if you have any questions, just send us an email. Our goal is to be as clear as possible and as flexible as possible with you when you’re booking with us. We encourage everyone to keep up to date with the governments current advice at all times. We look forward to hearing from you.

Covid 19 terms and conditions

These are the terms and conditions specific for Covid 19 as an addition to our ordinary terms and conditions.

The terms and conditions applies to each individual in a group booking. Refund or rebooking will be applicable for you, your traveling partner (if you travel in a group of two), and/or your kids.

  • Cancelations because of Covid 19 after 12 of March 2020 are not qualified as force majeure.

    All cancelations (less than 30 days prior to arrival) because of Covid 19 sickness or isolation will be covered by a normal travel insurance. Lofoten Ski Lodge encourages all guest to sign a travel insurance and read their terms and conditions.

  • All new (was not in effect 30 days prior to your arrival) measurements from the governments that are preventing you from traveling to Lofoten will be refunded 100%, with proof that your travel insurance will not cover the cancelation. This includes travel restrictions and quarantine requirements.
  • If the lodge or the guides service is closed down due to a governmental measure you will receive a 100% refund for your in-completed booking or you can rebook your tour to next season.
  • If the guides can’t work because of Covid, all guiding days that are not completed will be 100% refunded except if the guide is infected by the group*
  • All guests are required to follow our infection control plans. Staff manager and guide manager can deny guest entry to common areas and/or tours if they show signs of relevant symptoms for Covid 19 (respiratory symptoms, fever and other advised by FHI).
  • Sickness during your stay and the following cancelations of tours will not be refunded.
  • All cancelations based on Covid 19 or Covid 19 measurements must be documented before a refund/rebooking is approved.
  • For your orientation, our local municipal chief physician can put governmental measurements to effect immediately if necessary. This includes testing, quarantines, rules for traveling and how we run the lodge/guide service.
  • For all of us to stay healthy and avoid sickness and cancelations we encourages all our guests to read and follow our infection control plans and follow your local and Norways National Institute of Public Healths advices.
  • *Except Open Groups. Open Groups will get a 100% refund of the tours that is not completed if the guide can’t work.

    Infection control plan at Lofoten Ski Lodge

    We follow the recommendations of national and local authorities when it comes to infection control. These advices are under constant review and we adjust our measures after the latest revision.

    At Lofoten Ski Lodge:

  • Try to keep 1m distance.
  • Breakfast is served on plate or as a buffet
  • Disinfectant is available in all common and staff areas for guests and staff.
  • All contact surfaces are frequently cleaned.
  • We ask all guests to wash their hands or use disinfectant before arriving in common areas, before all meals and after toilet visits.
  • Distance between table and chairs in the restaurant is according to government requirements. Please respect this distance.
  • All guests with respiratory diseases are asked to stay at the fisherman’s cabin. Food can be delivered at the door.
  • If guests or employees are diagnosed with Covid 19, there are separate procedures for this.
  • All employees have received training in infection control and their own risk analyzes have been performed where necessary.
  • Guests sharing a fisherman’s cabin are encouraged to wash their hands frequently and keep their distance.
  • It is assumed that all private groups are a cohort and behave accordingly.
  • We request that everyone who is diagnosed with an infection after a visit with us contact us immediately so that infection detection can be implemented immediately
  • There are separate rules for using the sauna.
