A long classic alpine climb to one of the most iconic summits in Lofoten.

The North Ridge of Vågakallen is an amazing alpine rock route with varied climbing on quality granite. This is our favorite big alpine ridge in the Lofoten Islands, the positioning, climbing, and views are world class. Vågakallen is a massive peak and stands right above the Norwegian Sea. If your looking for a nice day climb that encompasses all Lofoten has to offer then you must climb the North Ridge of Vågakallen. Are you ready for a long day out in the mountains? Book with us now.

Itinerary:

You will meet the guide in our office in the morning for a coffe and a talk before we drive (20min) to the parking. The approach is 2,5 hours hike. We will put on the rope when the ridge get steep and exposed and follow this to the summit. There are several pitches on our way with difficulty up to 5.8 and a lot of scrambling. The descent are a 3 hour hike down to the car.
